It's all over everone's blogs (well, Domino related blogs at least). IBM/Lotus announced "Hannover" (or Notes/Domino 7.x) at the DNUG in Hannover yesterday.

From a personal pount-of-view, I'm REALLY glad to see that they've (IBM/Lotus) taken the comments of us users on board. It shows that Domino is NOTdead. In fact, it's very much alive and growing.

However, I would like to temper everyones enthusiasm a little - but only to be realistic. Remember, all the screenshots you've seen from Ben, Alan or Ed's sites are just that. Screenshots. Bit map images of a product that doesn't yet exist. They'll probably be showing some "working" systems at LotusSphere 06 so don't expect to see it on your desktop too soon.

Even so, it's good to see that things are moving!

Sorry. For those of you (Pants especially) that were expecting to find my personal tips on the finer points of carpentry, please look elsewhere! For those involved on a day-to-day basis with development of applications on Lotus Notes (is it still called that?) please read on!

I'm not writing this as a Lotus/IBM bashing session, more to vent my road and frustration after taking 45 minutes to drive 15 miles down the M3!!! (it's damned inconvenient for people to have accidents on such a motorway on a Friday afternoon). I'm just trying to get my head around a problem I had this week (well, it's not the first time and probably not the last either) with HideWhen formula in nested tables. Without going into to much detail ("Yawn" says Salty. "You lost me after you said 'Listen carefully'") the form I was working with had one mail table consisting of 1 column and 2 rows. In one of these cells (the lower one) was another table (1 row and 1 column) containing another table with 1 row and 4 columns.
