Changed back at last.

As some of you know I had a Vauxhall Senator CD 24 valve for almost 11 years - I'd done 204,000 miles in it - but had to get rid of it about 18 months ago as the it needed to much welding on the bodywork at it's last MOT test to make it economical to keep. At about the same time I was luck enough to pick up a 15 year old Mercedes 300E with only 86,000 miles on the clock for £1000.
Ever since then - and it's not entirely due to the fact that I don't like the Merc and the way it drives, it's "lack" of grunt and it's soft French-like suspension - I've hankered for another Senator. Well, yesterday I found an almost identical spec Senator, same colour and today I bought it. It's such a relief
Now I know I can't praise the British engineering in it as a lot of it is German and there are some American influences on the engine but it is nice to have another one. It may be 11 years old but it still drives 100x better than the Merc. I can look forward more to the commuting to Bristol (a round trip of 220 miles) now knowing the journey will so much easier on me!
